Denise Richards is a married woman! Surprise!
The new Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star got hitched to partner Aaron Phypers in a VERY surprising wedding — considering it occurred on Saturday, just two days after the couple announced they were engaged!
But hey — when you know, you know!!
The whirlwind wedding went down in Malibu on Saturday, with close family and friends from both the bride and the groom in attendance. And, luckily, RHOBH producers were able to snag some footage of the wedding for next season; Bravo even released short snippets of video over the weekend.
Speaking to the network’s website The Daily Dish about the wedding itself, Richards said (below):
“I am so happy to officially be married to the love of my life. I can’t wait for everyone to go on this incredible journey with me this season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It has been a wild ride so far!”

Furthermore, a source explained to People the decision to go for a rapid-fire wedding without more than, uh, 48 hours of planning (below):
“Denise and Aaron just want a small group of people to be at the wedding, really just their inner circle. They’ve both done this before and this time just want to exchange vows in front of the people who are most important.”
Makes sense, considering Phypers just finalized his divorce from Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan, and Richards was married to Charlie Sheen for five years and shared with him two daughters (Sam, 14, and Lola, 13) in addition to another daughter of her own from another relationship: Eloise, 7.
Speaking of Sheen…
Richards’ ex went out of his way to congratulate her on the wedding, too, telling Entertainment Tonight that he did not attend the wedding, but that he wishes the new couple “nothing but happiness!”
Awww — all’s well that ends well among these well-treaded lovebirds, it appears.
