Ariana Grande’s family ‘worried’ about her mental health after hellish 18 months

Ariana Grande ’s family are said to be “worried” that the singer could be heading for a nervous breakdown after a horrific two years.

The singer, 25, recently split from fiance Pete Davidson, 24, and is still dealing with the death of her ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller earlier this summer.

She is also working through post traumatic stress disorder, triggered by the Manchester bomb attack at her show in the city in 2017, and an insider says her friends and family fear she’s throwing herself into work, but could be at breaking point.

Ariana returned to work on Tuesday to film her part in NBC’s Wicked 15th anniversary special.

She put a plaster on her ring finger to hide her former fiance’s name as she sang The Wizard and I during the pre-recorded tribute to the hit musical.

A source told People: "She’s staying strong and focusing on work right now, but her friends and family are definitely worried about her.

"Ariana’s been through a lot and emotionally things have been so up and down for her this year."

Following her performance, she said she was taking a break from social media.“Ok today was v special and i’m so grateful i was able to be there,” she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram story.

“Time to say bye bye again to the internet for just a lil bit. It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that I’m not trying to see rn. It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep going. love u. and thank u for bein here always.”

The pair called off their engagement after just six months, with sources claiming it was Ariana who called time on their relationship.

The Bang Bang singer and Saturday Night Live comedian started dating in May after Ariana split from late ex Mac.

Within weeks, Pete had proposed with the pear-shaped ring thought to be worth $100,000 and they moved into a $16million apartment in New York.
