Anne Hathaway performs epic rom-com parody with James Corden… and reveals the secret to drunk acting

Anne Hathaway teamed up with The Late Late Show’s James Corden on Thursday to perform an epic, five-minute ‘Soundtrack to a Rom Com.’

The 34-year-old Oscar winner got to put her impressive three-octave soprano pipes to good use as she and the 38-year-old host ran through 10 songs dating 1963-2016 on nine different sets.

The At The Ballet songstress and the Tony-winning thespian ran through all the beats of the stereotypical romantic comedy from meeting cute at the elevator to splitting then getting back together.

It’s hard to believe Hathaway has yet to star in a Broadway musical, but she was certainly well matched by the enthusiasm of Corden outside the realm of his carpool.

Anne and James covered chestnuts like Selena Gomez’s 2016 hit Hands To Myself, Sixpence None The Richer’s 1997 song Kiss Me, Biz Markie’s 1989 hit Just a Friend, and Al Green’s 1972 track Let’s stay together.

The mother-of-one – whose favorite rom-com is Notting Hill – got her biggest laugh while belting Eric Carmen’s 1975 track All By MySelf while spilling wine everywhere.

The Golden Globe winner knows a thing or two about rom-coms having starred in Ella Enchanted, Love & Other Drugs, One Day, Song One, and Valentine’s Day.
