Meltdown: Alec Baldwin is said to have angrily thrown a soft drink during an angry confrontation a driver in New York
His meltdowns have become a thing of legend.
And Alec Baldwin’s infamous temper supposedly reared its ugly head yet again when he tried to goad a driver who displeased him out of his car so he could confront him in New York.
When the hapless motorist refused to take the bait it is claimed The Cooler actor’s hot temper further got the better of him, causing him to angrily throw his soft drink onto the street in a fit of rage.
A pedestrian told Page Six that the 30 Rock star got into an angry verbal exchange with the driver.
The witness said: ‘Baldwin called the driver of a big black SUV “a meatball” and kept asking him and the passenger to get out.’
And the fact his opponent would not take up his challenge is said to have only infuriated the impulsive movie hunk all the more.
The pedestrian said: ‘Alec got out his phone and started videotaping them.
‘They pulled away right after, and he took a pic of their license plate and threw his extra-large drink in the street. Then he just went on his angry way.’
The liberal actor’s representative had no comment on the incident.

The Beetlejuice star has previously got into a number of altercations with both reporters and photographers, including grabbing a snapper and ramming him into a a car back in 2013.
He has claimed his meltdowns are caused as he struggles to deal with the interest in his private life.
Holding his hand up to this single failing, he previously said: ‘The one element of culpability I have is I did let it get to me, and I have been confrontational with them (the press).’
In 2013 he also allegedly told a reporter to ‘choke to death’ after she questioned him about a lawsuit involving his wife Hilaria’s work as a yoga instructor. The comments were recorded and passed to police.

During the altercation he is further said to have called photographer G.N. Miller, who is black, a racial epithet, a ‘coon’, ‘a drug dealer’, a ‘crackhead’ and made disparaging remarks about his mother, according to Miller’s police statement.
In addition he hit the headlines after calling his then 11-year-old daughter Ireland a ‘rude, thoughtless little pig,’ adding, ‘You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being.’
He was also thrown of a plane in 2011 after refusing to stop playing a game on his mobile phone, and reportedly becoming insulting and belligerent to flight staff.
