Victoria Beckham (or "VB" as I like to think I'd call her if we were chummy like that) recently sat down with our friends at Into the Gloss to talk — what else? — all things beauty. And well, at the risk of devastating any die-hard Spice Girls fans out there, I think it's safe to say after this interview, "Posh Spice" is officially a thing of the past. (Albeit, her full regimen is pretty damn posh, if you ask me.)
Gone are the days of meticulously groomed eyebrows, frosted lips, and ultra-bronzed skin (a.k.a. the '90s-centric makeup look she was known for in those days). Now, the 43-year-old multi-hyphenate and mom of four is all about investing in luxe products and relishes pampering — even if the only spare time she has to do it is on the plane.
"When I'm traveling, I make sure to take off my makeup, cleanse my face, and then cover myself in the Sarah Chapman Stem Cell Collagen Activator Duo," she tells Into the Gloss. (The cream will set you back a casual $265, in case you're curious.) On the flip side, though, you can snatch up her favorite Bioderma makeup wipes — which she says are the only cleansing cloths that remove everything — at the drugstore.
What's more is that the designer and I share a favorite all-over, do-it-all cream: Weleda's Skin Food, which she touts for its thick, buttery formula. "When I have a tan, I’ll mix it with coconut oil —
the same you use to cook with — and cover my entire body with it. I suppose some people may not like the greasiness, but it helps me hold on to the color," she explains, adding that it always sinks in by the time she leaves the house.
A few other key players in her routine, include: Byrdeo fragrance and hand cream (literally any of them, she says), a $20 toothpaste by SR, and Latisse, for which she credits her long lashes and brows. "I have gone through phases where I’ve stopped using it, and I noticed a big difference. Anastasia Soare actually recommended it to me," she says.
Clearly, Beckham has her product game on lock, so be sure to check out the full roster of her must-haves here. I personally will be checking out that Sarah Chapman treatment, stat.
