This Is What Every Single Attachment in the Dyson Airwrap Complete Does to Your Hair

If you’re deep inside a research hole trying to figure out if the new Dyson Airwrap Complete is worth its hefty $550 price tag, crawl out, because I’m about to show you exactly what each of the styling attachments that come in the kit did to my fine, straight hair.

Before I go there, let’s dive a bit into the science behind the new all-in-one tool, which promises to give you “voluminous curls, natural waves and smooth blow-dry finishes at home.” A motor inside the Dyson Airwrap’s wand (the same one used in Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer) creates a high-speed stream of hot air that is then distributed through small openings in each of the attachments in what Dyson calls the Coanda effect. This air dries hair as it styles it, minimizing heat damage from using several tools. The Airwrap even self-checks its temperature up to 40 times a second, according to the brand, to make sure it doesn’t get too hot.

Pretty cool, but does it work? Yes. Read ahead to see exactly what it does and how it does it.
