Hollywood is FULL of interesting hair colors. Just recently, Kylie Jenner dyed her hair a shade of bubblegum pink, and Cardi B took lavender hair dye to her locks in an effort to match her fierce suit. Considering their celebrity status, it’s not surprising at all that Kylie and Cardi both got their hair dyed professionally. However, in an interesting turn of events, some stars are still using boxed hair dye from store shelves and giving the power to friends, rather than professionals. We know… we’re just as shocked as you are!
If you head over to Joey King‘s Instagram, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about. Joey’s most recent post is a short clip of her showing off her new hair color, which is a hue of bright blue that begins at eye level. It’s really somethin’. See?
We told you it’s bright AF! Also, from what we can tell, it seems like Joey’s decision to dye her hair was a pretty impulsive one. In fact, she revealed in the caption that she was only intending on walking into CVS to purchase candy! At what point did she decide to get a box of hair dye instead? We have NO idea.
Joey wrote, “*goes to CVS for candy. Buys a box of blue hair dye. Makes @kelliisking dye my hair… tells @neekotto he can cut my bangs.” NGL, it’s pretty freakin’ obvious that Joey’s hair wasn’t done by an actual hairstylist, but still, we give her a ton of credit for doing something bold and daring. When it comes down to it, we’ll even admit that the cut actually isn’t half bad. The color on the other hand? Yeah… it’ll definitely take some getting used to.
