Hailey Baldwin's Makeup Artist Has An Entire Storage Unit Full of Makeup

The only thing brighter and more fun than Vincent Oquendo’s makeup portfolio is the man himself. His work on all our favorite It-girls like Elsa Hosk, Bella Hadid, Lily Collins, and Hailey Baldwin is always flawless yet achievable, and his mix of inspirational textures and colors makes makeup feel fun again. Scroll through his Instagram just once and you’ll find yourself debating a cobalt blue eye for your next night out. When he’s not painting the faces of every model in sight, Oquendo serves as the ambassador for ant-redness eye drops called Lumify and he just snagged a deal with Shiseido to become their North America Color Artist. With all that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Oquendo’s beauty stash is massive—and requires its own storage unit.

In this episode of The Beauty Show, Oquendo shows BAZAAR’s Jenna Rosenstein his personal stash of skincare products and devices. After rummaging through his medicine cabinet, including his favorite anti-aging serum and Shiseido sunscreeen, Oquendo shows Rosenstein his rooftop where most of his Instagram photo magic happens.

“My thing is I need to keep my home space and my private space, so my makeup closet is right over there at Manhattan Mini Storage,” Oquendo says, pointing down the street. “It’s ridiculous—brace yourself. It’s amazing.”

“All of my favorite things are in here,” Oquendo says as he shows off drawer after drawer of products organized by type, texture, and color. “I pretty much made it so that anybody whether you knew makeup or not could find anything in here. We wanted to make it so that we could send assistants and they could replenish the kit and get whatever they needed without us actually being here. Everything is super super efficient and broken down very well.”

For Oquendo, having a storage unit full of makeup—with fairy lights and decorative lanterns to boot—was a necessity. “We get so many products, and I would never see it or try it. I love doing this because I can try more products. Still, I would say 50 percent of this stuff I haven’t tried.”
