This week I try … a Timeless Prodigy facial

The lowdown I am in a state of total surrender at the very capable hands of therapist Elly, who's wielding the luxe Skeyndor range. She works on stretching my neck and kneading my knotted shoulders first, releasing a mountain of stress. She then uses lymphatic drainage on other trouble spots. After cleansing my face and décolletage, Elly slathers on some antioxidantrich champagne jelly. Next comes a hydrating damask rose stem-cell concentrate and a collagen mask. The finishing touch is white truffle cream, with a dual firming and moisturising action, which she massages in firmly. I feel as if I've been basted to perfection.

Pain factor Zero.

Pleasure factor

Totally off the Richter scale.

Downtime Ninety minutes.

Results My face looks plump and pleased with itself, with not a hint of redness or puffiness.

Trend: Burnished Polish

We have decreed the colour du jour for 2018's Christmas nails and it's pure gold. This universally flattering shade works on all skin tones either as a block colour or, if you're feeling festive, all glittery. Start with a ridge-filling base coat, then apply two coats of polish and finish with a shiny top coat.

We love the rework of this iconic, platinum-encased Calvin Klein CK One Platinum Edition EDT 100ml, (priceline.com.au, $69). And the unisex scent is just as delightful, with notes of green apple, cardamom, red cinnamon, amber, pink pepper and vetiver. When it comes to sharing this one, remember to play nice.

Ask Stephanie

What is the best treatment for age spots? An effective option is to have a dermatologist treat them with prescription hydroquinone. For an at-home treatment, try Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum (murad.com.au, $105), which will help keep pigmentation at bay.
